Inge Gjevre (b. 1976) grew up in Vågå, Gudbrandsdalen. He is an outstanding accordionist, playing Norwegian folk music and runddans music (“turning dance”, also called gammaldans). During about three decades he has had a prominent position within traditional folk music in Norway.

He has won great annual national competitions several times, both as a soloist and together with the bands Jutullaget, Avbrekk, Gjevre`s and Vågå spelemannslag.

The Norwegian Champion Inge Gjevre is also a gifted composer. The records “Blåhimmeldag” and "Solregn" Solregnare  impressing documentation of that. With virtuosity and rhythmic elegance he and his fellow-musicians surely will reach a large audience. They present music both for listening, dancing and enjoyment.
